Greg Zlap

"I play exclusively Hohner harmonicas, which best convey my emotions on stage and in the studio. The Marine Band offers a powerful sound and an outstanding chord response."

There is only one man who can rock a stadium with a simple harmonica.

Greg Zlap moved to France in the late 1980s and has since become one of the most creative musicians in Europe. Behind his leather jacket and piercing blue eyes lies a man who has lived through some life-changing events. Greg Zlap was born in Warsaw, Poland.

As a child, he watched the Solidarnosc demonstrations from his bedroom window. He bought American blues and rock records on the black market and learned to play music on his own, out of sight.

Once in France, as a session musician, he starts recording with artists such as Florent Pagny, Bénabar, or Michel Jonasz in the French chanson.

He also collaborates with D' de Kabal on the slam music scene, or with the film music composer Vladimir Cosma, both in the studio and on stage. He regularly teams up with DJ and producer Klingande to create electro music tracks, or with French guitarist and popstar -M- Matthieu Chedid for various projects, among which a duet featured on his own album.

An outstanding performer, he spent ten years and 282 concerts touring the biggest stages with the legendary French singer and showman Johnny Hallyday, including a historic show at the Eiffel Tower in Paris in front of a million people.

As Greg says, "you never really need a harmonica in a song", but he proves time and again that the harmonica can be used in any context.
